Want to explore the Breton coastline? Our hotel, located 5 km from the sea and only 2 hours by TGV from Paris, is ideal for your getaways or leisure activities such as fishing.
This is practiced all year round in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc.
Whether you are with family or friends, you will be able to collect by hand all kinds of shellfish and crustaceans on the foreshore. A fun activity in the Côtes-d'Armor that should please the whole tribe.

Enjoy this Breton getaway from our charming

Discover the favorite places to fish in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc

Martin Plage in Plérin

This is one of the favorite places for families and regulars to fish on foot on days of high tides.
Equip yourself with a simple bucket and a landing net and keep your eyes open! With a little luck and patience, you can unearth a real treasure of periwinkles and clams!

Plage des Godelins and Plage du Moulin in Binic-Etables-Sur-Mer

These two beaches are also well known to fishermen. Arm yourself with patience and you can collect razor clams, shrimps, clams and cockles.
Some tools are authorized such as the demanchoir or the pickaxe for oysters or the hand grapette for cockles and clams.

Le Petit Havre in Pordic

Here is an ideal spot to mix fishing on foot and family relaxation. This pebble beach is famous for its scallops. Here we come to scrape the rocks in search of periwinkles and crabs while enjoying the good sea air.

Our advice for a successful outing

Of course, before going fishing, it is important to respect a few rules.
First, fishing is always done at low tide. It is therefore recommended to reach the site you have chosen 2 hours before low tide. On your return, the same, leave at low tide.
It is advisable to consult the interactive map of authorized areas set up by the ARS, and to check the health quality of the sector to avoid any poisoning.
Please note, it is forbidden to collect species within 15 meters of mussel parks!
For example, you will not be able to fish in the nature reserve of the bay of Saint-Brieuc, such as on the Valais beach.
After this sporty day, return to your family room in the heart of the shopping district of Saint-Brieuc.
Also take advantage of the restaurant terrace for dinner or simply a drink.
