Discover Cap Fréhel
With its breathtaking views, Cap Fréhel is a must-see for any holiday in Brittany's Côtes d'Armor region.
Separating the Bay of Saint-Brieuc from the Bay of Saint-Malo, Cap Fréhel is an iconic point of pink sandstone and shale over 70m high. It offers one of the most beautiful panoramas in Brittany! A bird sanctuary criss-crossed by moorland and heather, Cap Fréhel is particularly appealing to nature lovers. Once there, a 1? hour walk takes you to the Cap Fréhel lighthouse (one of the five most powerful in France) and the Fort La Latte, a historic monument built in the 14th century that still boasts a keep, chapel and guardhouse. Film buffs will no doubt recognise this spot, which has been used as the setting for several major films including Les Vikings (1957) with Tony Curtis and Kirk Douglas and Les Chouans (2010) with Sophie Marceau and Lambert Wilson.
