Day trip to Quintin

You are sure to fall in love with this beautiful city of character, once the city of weavers!

Spend a day in Quintin and fall under the spell of this small town of character located only 20 km from our establishment.

Nestled in the heart of the green Breton bocage, Quintin boasts no less than two castles, thirteen listed monuments and a museum. The setting is exceptional as the town is surrounded by greenery.

Stroll through the narrow streets of the town to discover the vestiges of its past

Quintin, known in the region as the city of weavers, owes its fortune to the linen industry. Indeed, it was in the 17th and 18th centuries that linen was developed and Breton manufacturers who excelled in fine cloth exported as far as America!

Quintin's rich past has left behind a number of precious architectural legacies, such as the stylish houses and mansions of wealthy merchants.

Today, the town of Quintin proudly stands with its castle on the edge of the lake and its alleys host the festival of street singers.

Every first weekend in August, Quintin revives its past as a cloth-making town with the Weavers' Festival. On the programme: costumed parades and creations by young designers on the theme of linen.

Make the most of your stay in our hotel to take time out to visit Quintin. You will discover a beautiful city of character with its old quarter, its castle with its park and its lake, its half-timbered houses and its 18th century wash house, its 16th century mill, its arboretum and of course its weaver's and canvas museum!

You can have lunch in one of the many restaurants of the town and even take the opportunity to do a little shopping and have a "Murder Party" at the castle of Quintin if you have the soul of a detective (count two hours.)
